Chili Verde

Here is another easy recipe that will taste great and can be made ahead of time left alone to simmer on the stove!

Chili Verde

2-4 chicken breasts, cooked
2 cans of beans (we use pinto or Peruvian)
1 4oz. can of green chilies
1 teaspoon of ground cumin
¾ teaspoon of dried oregano leaves
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of minced garlic
2 chicken bouillon cubes
2/3 c. finely chopped onion
2 cups of water
1 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese
12 corn or flour tortillas

Combines chicken, onions seasonings, and garlic in pan. Add beans and water if needed. Turn heat to medium and allow mixture to simmer. Everything is pretty much cooked already, we’re just heating it up and allowing the tastes and aromas mix together! Turn heat to low, add cheese and serve with tortillas and there ya go! We also made this into our very own chili verde nachos! Just use tortilla chips! Hope you like! Let me know what you think.

Welcome to 1 Homeschool Mommy!

This is a blog I have created to share with other moms and wives. I feel we have a sisterhood in Christ that we should be embracing and uplifting eachother and to help those other women who need strength, words of wisdom and to know that they aren't going at it alone.

I want to be encouraging and hope you will share your encouragement with others!

Here you'll find the joys and frustrations of our days as I attempt to train and instruct my children in the way that they should go and to be a good servant and share His blessings.
